Girch
Newman (owner and proprietor of LSX Tuning) has been
modifying and tuning cars for 14 years. Like most mechanics
out there he started off as an apprentice. He owned a
Mitsubishi Sigma Factory Turbo, which was 1 of only 500
built. He kept modifying and tuning it and it eventually a
10.5@125mph. That was way back in 1997.
Girch purchased his first LS1 in September, 1999. It was a VT
Series II SS Commodore. He purchased some LS1 Edit tuning
software and the modifications began. Ever since Girch
has
been building some of Australia's toughest LS powered cars in the country.
LSX Tuning has set the benchmark in LS1 tuning and
modification; currently holding the record for the quickest and fastest LS1
5.7 turbo in the country at 9.27@148mph, the quickest and
fastest stock, unopened LS1 5.7 turbo in the country with a
9.81@141mph and the quickest and fastest full weight LS1
turbo with a 9.5@147mph.
